c. Keith Greer, Esq
Mr. Greer has been in private practice since 1988, after graduating with honors from California Western School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Adelphia Law Journal. He has a very diverse background. Early in his career he represented swindled investors in class action litigation against the likes of Charles Keating, Jr., Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken. Over the years he has taken the skills acquired from going up against some of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the country, and expanded his litigation practice to include consumer protection, wrongful death, professional liability, healthcare law, employment/labor law, asset protection and complex litigation. He has defended over 1,200 professional liability cases and has handled numerous high-profile law suits, resulting in millions of dollars for his clients. Most recently, Mr. Greer obtained a $5 million jury verdict in the wrongful death case of Rebecca Zahau v. Adam Shacknai (despite the local authorities declaring it was a suicide). Mr. Greer lectures nationally, is well published, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. He is also an accomplished trial attorney.
Jonathan M. Berger, Esq.
Mr. Berger focuses his practice in the area of medical malpractice defense. He presently focuses on the defense of podiatrists. His experience also includes the defense of all medical professionals, personal injury/insurance defense litigation, business litigation, construction defect litigation, environmental litigation and education law. Mr. Berger joined the firm in 2012 after gaining considerable litigation experience in various San Diego firms. Mr. Berger graduated from California Western School of Law, in San Diego, California, in 2006. During law school, he was honored with several dean’s list accolades and achieved considerable recognition for his writing skills, including honors recognition for Scholarly Writing on the subject of Fourth Amendment, as well as, an Academic Achievement Award for finishing at the top of his class in Advanced Legal Research and Writing.
Staci Labovitz, Esq.
Ms. Labovitz began defending doctors and hospitals upon graduation from Southwestern University School of Law in 1998. In addition to being an aggressive and well respected litigator, Ms. Labovitz completed a certificate program at Pepperdine University School of Law’s Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution in Malibu, California, and has mediated over 75 cases, including appellate cases in the areas of health care, medical malpractice and personal injury as part of the Second Appellate District Mediation Panel. Ms. Labovitz also lectures and publishes on issues regarding medical risk management, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Her attitude and experience give her a competitive advantage in litigation, and also the insight to identify and skillfully resolve conflict where early resolution is in the best interest of all parties.
DAVID MULLENS, D.P.M., J.D.
Dr. Mullens is a podiatric surgeon and a healthcare attorney. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine. In the middle of his podiatric career, incensed by how the Medicare system treated healthcare providers, he decided to go to law school and do something about it. For the past 20 years he has focused his legal practice on fighting Medicare repayment demands and denials of claims for a wide variety of Medicare providers. He soon gained notoriety as a well published expert in the field, and has lectured across the country on the topic of Medicare appeals. Most recently, the American Bar Association asked him to write a book and share his expertise with other attorneys and healthcare providers. His book, “How to Win Medicare Appeals,” was published by the American Bar Association in 2020.
